GAPS WORK PARTY:A GRAND SUCCESS!

April 19, 2008 was a beautiful day on the field. Everyone worked hard to repair the current break-away runway lights.

GAPS! Gordonsville Airport Preservation Society

Preserving the grass roots aviation community by filling in the gaps between: past and future, antique and LSA (Light Sport Aviation), experimental and general aviation aircraft, and our local pilots and community.

Gordonsville Municipal Airport is a place everyone can actively participate in historically creating the future of aviation.

The Gordonsville GAPs (Gordonsville Airport Preservation Society) work together in the tradition of maintaining a general aviation airport.  We are actively engaged with the general public to create an inviting atmosphere conducive to airports of the past.

Our community works on the runway, fixes such items as the bathroom fixures, re-conditioning tie-downs, keeping grass cut and having a place where hangar *tales/tails abound.

Many people have and are continuing to aid in the preservation of Gordonsville Municipal Airport. We would especially like to thank our new GAP members for their on-going donations of hard labor, items needed, and much appreciated kinship.
